Just came across this video. It’s George Orwell’s 1984 written by Eric Arthur Blair (real-name) in 1949. It paints a bleak picture of a post nuclear conflict world divided into 3 power blocks, all of which are equally repressive of the citizenry. Way back then in 1984, Orwell was denounced as a “false prophet”  and his book as nonsense. Take a look at it now and see if his ever watchful “big brother” is as far-fetched as it them seemed.

Noticed these things “popping up” for a while, links to all sorts but of late they seem to be putting out stuff. Scurrilous stuff indeed, heard this type of material many years ago guess I know where it is coming from now.  Also noticed a reaction to some of the video’s, they didn’t go down well with a certain quarter despite the fact that they been up for years. Its the long and the short of it . I find it amusing that stuff on this blog seems to get such a reaction. I am beginning to think the stats are way off. The times they are changing !

Well the World cup has just been presented to the Spanish football team who won the World cup in extra time 1-0 (26th minute). Well this tournament will be remembered for all the big sides that departed early, England, France, Italy, Brazil and some controversial referee decisions. What do you think was the match of the tournament ? Maybe its just me but I wasn’t set alight by the world cup this time. Generally I think that South Africa is the real winner of the World cup, it certainly cost plenty but South Africa has got a lot of promotion and of course prestige. A word must surely be said for all the players, managers, backroom staff who operated under such pressure they could only be one winner at the end of the day. A pity Ireland didn’t make it.
